Our Story

A name shaped by care, connection and growth.

Golden Hearts began with a simple belief: children grow best when they feel safe, understood and genuinely valued. Our name and identity reflect the kind of early learning community we are creating across our two Crestmead centres — one built on strong relationships, thoughtful care and a real sense of belonging.

Why Golden Hearts

Created around what children need most.

Golden Hearts is being shaped around a small number of things we believe matter more than anything else: safety, belonging, meaningful relationships, respect for who a child already is, and genuine partnership with families. We're building an organisation where these aren't values printed on a wall, but decisions made every day, in every room, for every child.

Why Golden Hearts?

The name carries two ideas, held together.

Golden

Every child arrives with their own personality, pace and way of seeing the world. “Golden” is our way of saying that individuality is something to notice and value, not smooth over.

Hearts

Care, compassion and real relationships sit at the centre of everything we do. “Hearts” is a reminder that early childhood education is, first and always, a human undertaking.

What guides us

Growth, Guidance and Gratitude

01 — Growth

Growth

Supporting children as they explore, test ideas, make mistakes and build confidence in their own way and at their own pace.

02 — Guidance

Guidance

Offering thoughtful support and consistent relationships — the kind of steady presence that helps a child feel sure of the people around them.

03 — Gratitude

Gratitude

Recognising childhood as a genuinely important stage of life, and appreciating the trust families place in us during it.

Belonging

More than a place to attend.

We want Golden Hearts to be somewhere every part of a family’s life is welcome. That means:

  • A secure and welcoming environment for children
  • Open, honest partnerships with families
  • Respect for every culture, language and background
  • A positive, supported environment for educators
  • A genuine connection to the Crestmead community

Looking ahead

A new chapter for our Crestmead community.

Golden Hearts Childcare & Kindergarten is preparing to begin a new chapter across two Crestmead centres. As the transition progresses, our focus stays simple: create environments where children feel known, where families feel supported, and where every decision comes back to one question — is this in the best interest of the child?
