Welcome to Golden Hearts
Small enough to know every child. Considered enough to do things properly.
Golden Hearts Childcare & Kindergarten is a new, independent early learning organisation caring for children across two centres in Crestmead. We are not a large chain, and we don't want to be. Our focus is deliberately narrow: two communities of children, families and educators who genuinely know one another.
Our educators take time to understand each child's routines, interests, strengths and preferred ways of communicating — because children learn best when they are happy, secure and confident in the people around them.

Every part of Golden Hearts was chosen for a reason.
- Golden
- The "G" carries four commitments — Golden, Growth, Guidance and Gratitude — the qualities we ask of ourselves before we ask anything of a child.
- The leaf
- Our emblem draws on the Golden Pothos — a plant known for strength, resilience and steady growth in the right environment. Each leaf represents one child's individual way of growing.
- The heart
- Kindness, compassion and genuine care — practised daily and visibly, not written on a wall and forgotten.
- The circle
- Connection, belonging and inclusion. Every family, culture, language and background is welcomed here, and every child should feel they belong.

Relationships come first
Strong, secure relationships between children, educators and families are the foundation of quality early childhood education. We build them slowly and protect them carefully.

You are your child's first and most important teacher. We share observations openly, listen properly, and make it easy to talk to the people who care for your child.

Time outdoors builds confidence, resilience and respect for the environment. Our outdoor spaces are treated as learning environments, not just play areas.

Two centres, one standard of care
Both of our centres are in Crestmead, at the same address opposite St Francis College, each with its own community and rhythm. Visit whichever suits your family — or tour both and see where your child feels at home.

How children learn here
Capable, curious and taken seriously
We see children as capable, curious and confident learners — not empty vessels to fill. Our educators plan environments and experiences around what children are already interested in, then extend that thinking through play, conversation and real involvement in daily life.
Across both centres, children take part in play-based experiences spanning Nursery, Tiny Tot, Toddlers, Junior Kindy and Kindergarten, with OSHC also available at Centre 1.

Digging, climbing, growing, watering, noticing. Regular time in natural spaces helps children build physical confidence, manage sensible risk and develop a genuine respect for the living world — habits that stay with them long after kindergarten.

You'll always know how your child's day went
Handover at the gate matters. So do honest conversations when something isn't quite right, and celebrations when something goes wonderfully. We keep communication with families straightforward, warm and two-way — because raising a child is something we do alongside you, not instead of you.
